Pine Cone (Stitch) Scarf

Tools  And Materials:  Caron Simply Soft Yarn, 1 skein/315yards
Crochet Hook:  Boye: 5.00mm
Yarn or Tapestry Needle

Ch 43.

R1:  Dc on 5th ch from hook and count this as 1 dc and 1 ch-1 sp. Dc on next 4 stitches. NOTE: 1 CLUSTER MADE UP OF 5 DCs IS MADE.
* Ch3, skip 3 sts, dc next 5 stitches.*  Repeat * * until there are 5 clusters of  5-dcs, end row with ch1, dc on first ch made.   Note:  There are 4 ch-3 spaces between clusters and 1 ch-1 on each side of the completed row.  Turn.

R2:  Ch2,  dc on next ch-1 sp.  * Ch1,  skip 1 dc, dc on next 3 dc stitches; ch1,  3dc on next ch-3 space.*  Repeat * * until there are 9 clusters of 3 dcs and 9 ch-1 spaces between 3dc clusters.  Finish this row with 2dc(s) on next ch-1 sp.  Note: There are 10 ch-1 spaces total  on this row.  Turn.

R3: Ch2, dc on next dc, dc on ch-1 sp; * ch2, skip next 3dcs, dc on next ch-1 sp; dc on next 3 dcs, dc on next ch-1 sp. *   Repeat * * until there are 4 groups of 5dcs.  Ch2, dc on next ch-1 sp,  dc on next dc, dc on 2nd ch of turning chain.  Note:  There 3 dc(s) on each side (edge) of this row.  Turn.

R4: Ch3-dc on same st where turning ch is attached.  Note Beginning V stitch of the row is made.Ch1,
3dc(s) on next ch2 sp. *Ch1, skip 1 dc, dc on next 3 dcs; ch1, 3dc on next ch-2 sp* Repeat * * across until there are 9 groups of 3 dc(s),  After the last 3 dc(s) of this row, ch1 - 2dc on  2nd ch of turning ch.  Note: Ending v stich is made; there are 9 groups of 3 dcs and 10 ch-2 spaces when this row is completed.

R5: Repeat  R3 to R4 over and over again until desired length is met.
